ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has rejected former prime minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif?s plea seeking clubbing of three NAB references against him. Chief Justice (CJ) Mian Saqib Nisar took up for hearing in his chamber the petition seeking merging of the three NAB references into one Wednesday.
Nawaz had filled petition praying the court to merge three NAB references into one against him but it was returned by registrar office with raising objections. It was said in Nawaz appeal plea that it is binding on the court to hear the petition afresh on merit if the decision is challenged.It said there are stances that decisions were reviewed again in several cases. The court has also maintained that the technical points cannot come on the way to dispensation of justice. Earlier SC had rejected Nawaz Sharif?s appeal. First chamber appeal was rejected for not raising the point on clubbing NAB references in Panama decision review case.
