My lad tanked off with me at the weekend while having a canter around the field with a friend. He just got faster and faster and there was no stopping him he tanked all the way back to the yard and ground to a halt when there was no place left for him to go. It was v.dangerous and I am reluctant to take him out again. He is perfect in the school and hacking but once I pick up the pace he has a mind of his own. He is ridden in a loose ring barrel snaffle with a cavesson but I have also had in a hanging cheek Waterford with a grackle when jumping. I have been advised to try him in a Myler Combo. and suggestions on this or anything else to try.
