Actress Sonam Kapoor has come out in the support of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali after controversy over his upcoming film ?Padmavati?. Sonam tweeted, ?I?m appalled at the drama that?s unfolding.. it?s ludicrous and I?m so ashamed of some of these Indians..? The makers of ?Padmavati? have voluntarily deferred the film?s release date. In a statement, a spokesperson of Viacom18 Motion Pictures said it had taken the decision ?voluntarily?. The makers reiterated that the film was a cinematic masterpiece capturing ?Rajput valour, dignity and tradition in all its glory?. As a ?responsible and law-abiding corporate citizen?, it was committed to following the established procedure and convention, it said.
