The CCI meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi deliberated various matters, including the recent population census and delimitation.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that the census results would be accepted only after getting one percent of them verified from a third party.
Briefing the CCI meeting, the election commission urged the government to get a new amendment approved from the National Assembly for new delimitation as holding an election is very difficult on the basis of the 1998 census.
The statistics division while rejecting the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab's demand of releasing data of foreigners said that the exact number of foreigners in the country could not be disclosed before the final results of the census.
The meeting was also attended by the interior minister, industries minister, chief ministers of all four provinces and federal secretaries.

Sindh conditionally agrees to constitutional amendment on new delimitation
ISLAMABAD: Sindh on Monday conditionally agreed to a constitutional amendment with regard to new delimitation in the province during a Council of Common Interest (CCI) meeting here.
