“It has been proved today that instead of thousands of men, just five men can also take the country in the right direction after Almighty Allah,” he said in a reaction on the Supreme Court verdict on the Panama case. Chaudhry Shujaat said this is very important for the future of Pakistan and it has made a beginning for corruption-free Pakistan and learned judges have further enhanced the prestige of the judiciary and political direction of Pakistan has also been determined. He said mouths of anti-judiciary people have been shut who target the judiciary for satisfaction of their ego and covering their crimes. The PML-Q leader said the manner in which the JIT members withstood all sorts of criticism, allegations and pressure is quite appreciable. He said broad accountability will **t only promote meritocracy but also ensure internal and external security of the country. It was further resolved that both the parties will intensify their struggle against corruption and counter all those elements who are trying to discredit the superior courts and the voices raised against corruption. Muhammad Anis adds: Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq said he would consider the Supreme Court judgment against Nawaz Sharif as incomplete if the accountability process is **t taken forward to nab more corrupt elements. The JI leader, who was also a petitioner in the Panama case against Nawaz Sharif, was addressing his party workers after offering ‘Nimaz-e-Shukrana’ here at Aabpara Chowk. “Today is a historic day in Pakistan which will be a turning point to root out corruption in the country,” he said. Naib Ameers of JI Mian Muhammad Aslam, Farid Ahmad Paracha and local leaders including Zubair Farooq Khan and Shamsur Rehman Swati and other party leaders and a large number workers also attended ‘Nimaz-e-Shukrana’. The JI leader said that Jamaat would **t budge from its demand of accountability of those whose names were mentioned in Panama Papers -- bureaucrats and generals. “I want to make it clear that our target was **t the prime minister only, rather we also want to see the accountability process continue,” he said. Sirajul Haq said his party never raised objections on the mandate of the PML-N but they wanted accountability of all the corrupt elements. He recalled that he was the first to file a petition with the Supreme Court of Pakistan on August 24, last year for accountability of all those whose names were mentioned in the Panama Papers. “**w that decision against Nawaz Sharif has been an**unced, I will demand the apex court to move against the remaining 436 people,” he said. Sirajul Haq pointed out that the PML-N leaders were claiming that Nawaz Sharif had been punished for starting CPEC project. “I can**t see any Indian judge in the bench who is against the CPEC project,” he said. The JI leader maintained that his party would strongly resist any move aimed at doing away with Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution. Faisal Kamal Pasha adds: Chairman All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) General (R) Pervez Musharraf said the Supreme Court of Pakistan and the JIT formed under its directives made history and they deserve huge applause and appreciation. Expressing his views about the Supreme Court judgment in Panama case, the former military ruler said truth has prevailed and a five members SC bench has disqualified Nawaz Sharif. “I salute to the bravery and courage of SC judges and members of the JIT who ensured transparent and impartial investigation against Sharif family and rendered a judgment that will set a precedent and will deter corruption and corrupt practices in future,” he said. General Musharraf said the rest of six people who were found involved should be put on Exit Control List (ECL) and tried. He expressed his views through a video message after the apex court an**unced its landmark judgment. He said that this decision will set an example that ** one is above the law and regarding future course of action, if a person has to contest for the public ******, he must come clean. “My party and me fully support this judgment,” Musharraf said. “This was **t an easy task to render a judgment like this. The JIT members completed their work under extreme pressure and they were threatened as well. Despite this, they did a marvellous job to dig out the decades-old hidden secrets about the empire that was structured at ill-gotten money and they deserve appreciation for their tireless efforts,” he said. General Musharraf demanded that the names of Nawaz Sharif’s three children, Captain (R) Safdar and Ishaq Dar should be put on ECL and they be tried under the law. Beside Sharif family, he said, there are several others who looted money and escaped with an ease. “They should also face the same course of action,” Musharraf said. “After I left in 2008, it wondered that how Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif elected to the prime ******s were telling lies to the people and deceiving them, while the truth faced failures. But this decision has proved that the truth has to prevail even with a delay. This decision has also exposed the moral and political corruption during 90s in this country,” he said. أكثر... ??????? ??????: Nation must be proud of historic SC verdict: Shujaat || ??????: ahlam1399 || ??????: اسم منتداك
