ISLAMABAD: Arrangements to open a trade route in Ghulam Khan area of **rth Waziristan Agency, situated between Pakistan and Afghanistan, have been completed and sources said that this route will be opened soon after Eid.
The government has also decided to establish a large industrial town in **rth Waziristan in order to boost regional trade with Afghanistan and Central Asian countries. It should be mentioned here that this trade route was shut down on June 15, 2014 during Operation Zarb-e-Azb launched against terrorists in **rth Waziristan.
This route of **rth Waziristan connects the Khost province of Afghanistan with **rth Waziristan. However, during the period of closure of the border, the government built roads from Bannu to Miranshah and Miranshah to Ghulam Khan that met the international standards. Customs, transport and other federal ******s and check posts were also established in Ghulam Khan.
