RAWALPINDI: The law enforcement agencies on Sunday raided TTP hideouts in Kurram and Orakzai tribal areas and recovered a large cache of arms including rockets and mortar bombs, the army said in a statement.
The ISPR added that the arms were stored for a major terror bid.
Rockets, improvised explosive devices, grenades and mortar bombs were seized in raids conducted in Orakzai Agency's Kalaya and Parachinar in Kurram Agency, it stated.
The statement added that the large cache of ******* seized was an indication that a major terrorist attack had been averted.
Communication equipment was also recovered, it said adding that underground tunnels established by the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan were also destroyed, in Kalaya during the operation.
