Bajaur marble factories to install electricity metres

KHAR: Owners of marble factories on Saturday agreed to install electricity metres in Bajuar Agency. Talking to reporters, ******-bearers of the marble factories Association, including Tufail Khan and Maroof Khan, said that marble factories’ owners in Bajaur Agency should install electricity metres.

“The Tribal Electric Supply Company (Tesco) officials have sent bills of millions of rupees since 2008,” Tufail Khan said, adding that electricity connections of their factories should be restored.

They said more than 22 marbles factories presented a deserted look due to **n-availability of electricity connections in the area. Several labourers were facing unemployment due to the closure of the factories, they lamented. They asked Gover**r Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and chairman Tesco to take steps to restore electricity of their factories and save marble industries from destruction.
