The DOT Telemedicine Backpack*features a rugged tablet with a high-definition camera and a screen that works well in full sunlight. Two modems provide redundancy in case of connectivity troubles and four built-in antennas help maximize the range of the system. There are two digital scopes that come with the DOT, allowing Remote physicians to help perform basic exams. The included battery can power everything for approximately 15 hours.
The software driving the DOT provides secure connectivity to guarantee privacy and it interfaces with many EMR and PACS systems, as well as certain diag**stic devices.

A company called swyMed out of Lexington, Massachusetts is releasing a portable Telemedicine Solution designed to link patients with doctors, whether they are at home, in an ambulance, or in a hard to reach location. The plug-and-play Solution can be quickly deployed to begin a consultation, particularly important in emergency scenarios.
