NEW YORK: Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dr Maleeha Lodhi, said on Thursday that UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon was shocked and stunned after seeing pictures of injured Kashmiris and taking a look at evidence against India.
Speaking at Geo News' program Aaj Shahzeb khanzada Kay Sath, Maleeha Lodhi disclosed that Ban Ki-moon had received the dossier which contained evidence of Indian brutality in Kashmir.
Maleeha said that India's efforts to isolate Pakistan on the international arena had failed. She said that OIC had also called for sending a fact finding commission to occupied Kashmir.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had addressed the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday. In his speech, PM Nawaz had exposed Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir and highlighted the plight of the injured and blinded in**cent Kashmiri civilians. The Pakistani envoy had also forwarded a dossier to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, which contained evidence of Indian oppression in occupied Kashmir.
PM Nawaz had also separately met Ban Ki-moon on Wednesday and thanked him for issuing a statement in support of Kashmiri civilians.
