Adele has cited Amy's career as one of the main influences of her own success in the past, especially in an interview with Vice's i-D magazine in October 2015. "If it wasn't for Amy and [her 2003 debut album] Frank, one hundred per cent I wouldn't have picked up a guitar, I wouldn't have written 'Daydreamer' or 'Hometown' and I wrote 'Someone Like You' on the guitar too," she said, before adding, "I love Amy. I always have, I always will. Do you k**w what makes me super sad? That I'm never going to hear her voice again, other than how I've heard it."
