Oil tanker accident causes massive*infer** on Super Highway
KARACHI: Three people died after a collision of an oil tanker with numerous vehicles near the DHA City on Karachi’s Super Highway on Wednesday. The speedy oil tanker going to Hyderabad from Karachi crashed into a car at the front and with a**ther oil tanker at the back. A fireball erupted which left the tanker into flames. The infer** increased after more vehicles coming after the tanker crashed into it and caught fire. A trailer and at least 25 vehicles were all enveloped by flames. Initially, two fire brigade vehicles arrived at the scene but due to great intensity of the fire two more were summoned. Both the tracks of the Super Highway were closed after the accident and traffic was suspended. Long queues of vehicles were seen lined up on the road due to the burnt wreckage on the road. Rescue officials faced difficulties in reaching the accident site due to traffic blockage. They pulled out three dead bodies from the vehicles.
