From Our Correspondent PAKPATTAN: A man was kidnapped on Saturday. Reportedly, rickshaw driver Tahir, son of Muhammad Rafiq was abducted from a bazaar. Police have registered a case. VALUABLES TAKEN AWAY: Thieves took away valuables on Saturday. Three thieves entered the shop of Muhammad Shafique of G-Block, Arifwala and stole Rs 435,200 and 135 suits. Thieves stole valuables worth Rs 3,500,000 from the shop of Shakeel Rafiq of Wood Market, Arifwala. Three burglars stole items worth Rs 23,000 from a local flour factory of Niaz Ahmad of Mauza Maghar. Police have registered cases. FAKE CHEQUE CASE: Police booked an accused on charges of issuing a fake cheque. Reportedly, accused Tanveer Khan purchased cement and fertilizer worth Rs 265,650 from Khalid Hussain of College Road, PAKPATTAN and gave him a cheque that bounced. Police have registered a case. PO ESCAPES: A proclaimed offender (PO) escaped with the connivance of his accomplice on Saturday. Police raided Chak 90/SP to arrest PO Mushtaq Ahmad but he escaped when his accomplice Muhammad Yar alerted him about the police arrival. Police have registered a case. WOMAN DIES IN ACCIDENT: A woman was killed in a road accident on Saturday. Reportedly, Murtaza was riding his motorcycle with his sister Zaitoon Bibi and her two children and near Chak Sohawa a bus hit them, leaving Zaitoon Bibi injured critically. She was rushed to hospital where she died. HEAVY RAIN: PAKPATTAN and its adjoining areas received heavy rain on Saturday. The rain turned the weather pleasant.
