MQM ends hunger strike after meeting CM Sindh *

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has ended their six-day long hunger strike outside the Karachi Press Club following meeting with Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

MQM Chief also directed the party workers and leaders to end their hunger strike which began last week against the alleged “atrocities and injustices” committed against the party during Karachi operation.

The development came after a five-member delegation of MQM met with Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah at the CM House and brought to **tice the party's reservations over the operation and apprised him over the missing workers.

The CM Sindh assured the party leaders that a committee would be formed within a week to oversee the operation.

MQM delegation includes opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Khwaja Izhar-ul-Hassan, MPA Syed Sardar Ahmed, MNA Kanwar Naveed Jamil and member of Provincial Assembly Mohammad Hussain.

Whereas, PPP’s senior leader Nisar Khoro, Maula Bux Chandio, Murtaza Wahab and Arshad Rabbani accompanied Chief Minister.
