Five months after the creation of the Refugee Olympic Team — a group made up entirely of refugees without the opportunity to compete for a specific country — they made their entry into Maracanã Stadium for the Opening Ceremony.
The athletes entered to a standing ovation, wearing tan pants, blue blazers and waving a flag bearing the Olympic logo, under which they will compete.*
The Olympians were given the ho**r of entering second to last, right before the host country of Brazil rolled into the stadium.
