Transgender activist Sarah McBride just made history at the Democratic convention

The DNC just made history again.

Sarah McBride, LGBTQ rights activist and national press secretary of the Human Rights Campaign, spoke on stage at the Democratic convention on Thursday, becoming the first openly Transgender person to address a major party convention.

McBride began her speech, "My name is Sarah McBride and I am a proud Transgender American."
