According to details, municipal authorities were busy last night removing illegal billboards and hoardings across the city. The Supreme Court had, during its last proceedings, directed authorities to remove all illegal billboards and hoardings from the city and present a report regarding the matter on July 29.
The city administration has responded to the orders of the Supreme Court and in order to prevent the flow of traffic from being affected, ******* billboards and illegal hoardings on Wednesday night. Authorities were busy dismantling and taking down billboards from Shahrah-e-Faisal, Shahrah-e-Pakistan and I.I. Chundrigar Road.
The Supreme Court had warned authorities that if the billboards were **t taken down by the given deadline, then all administrators of DMCs and all heads of cantonments would be held responsible.
