That's how long Scott Patterson predicted Gilmore Girls would last when it first began.*

"I remember Lauren [Graham] and I were talking about the very first Christmas party that [showrunner] Amy [Sherman-Palladi**] threw at her house. We were predicting how long it would last, she said five years, I said seven," he recalled during Netflix's Gilmore Girls Television Critics Association panel.*

Patterson, who plays Lorelei's on-again-off-again love interest Luke, obviously guessed right: The show ran from 2000-2007. But then Netflix came along.*
