98 suspects arrested in Karachi during search operation
According to details, the search operation was carried out in Pakhtoonabad area. Entry and exit routes of the areas were sealed as law enforcement personnel carried out a door-to-door search of the place. Ninety-eight suspects were taken into custody and transferred to the police station for questioning. Apart from that, CTD officials gunned down two alleged terrorists in an encounter. Anti-Trafficking Cell managed to take into custody five foreign nationals who were illegally living in the city. Police also rounded up four suspects from different parts of the city. Sources disclosed that police and alleged militants exchanged fire in Shah Latif town in which two militants were killed and one CTD official got injured. Police seized a suicide bomb vest, hand grenades and ******* from the slain terrorists. According to Deputy Director FIA Malik Murtaza, the five arrested foreign nationals had arrived illegally from Torkham border without any documents. Rahmatullah, Naeem, Abdul Qudoos, **or and Abdul Karim were the names of the five suspects rounded up. A case was registered against all suspects according to the Foreign Act. On the other hand, Shahrah-e-Faisal police arrested three suspects wanted for theft and robbery. Jewelry and foreign currency were recovered from the suspects.
