ISLAMABAD: Mian Kamran, chairman of Move on Pakistan party, was arrested during a pre-dawn raid on Wednesday on charges of vilifying armed forces and causing disorder.
Party sources told Geo News, Kamran was taken into custody from a guest house located near Abpara.
The party is k**wn for the banners that cropped up in the federal capital and elsewhere in the country, inviting chief of the armed forces to launch a coup.
The banners drew strong reaction from mainstream political parties of the country, with some politicians terming it a conspiracy against the democratically elected government while others accusing the ruling party of being behind the campaign.
The Inter-Services Public Relations, media wing of the military, said on July 12 that it has **thing to do with the banners and the group that has placed them in different cities of the country.
