Alia Bhatt to replace Kareena Kapoor Khan in Golmaal 4?

Since making her debut in Karan Johar’s Student of the Year, actress Alia Bhatt’s star has been on the rise. From Highway to Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania to Two States and most recently Udta Punjab, Bhatt has assembled several **teworthy performances in a short span of time.

Currently busy shooting for Gauri Shinde’s Dear Zindagi, reports suggest that Bhatt has nabbed the role of the female lead in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming production, Golmaal 4, titled Golmaal Again.

According to Spotboye, “Director Rohit Shetty has shortlisted Alia to play the female lead and has even spoken to her about it.”

Though the role was originally written for Kareena Kapoor-Khan, she has opted out due to her pregnancy.

Kapoor-Khan will go on maternity leave once she’s finished shooting for her upcoming chick flick, Veera Di Wedding.

Of course, Golmaal, unlike Bhatt’s other films, is a completely brainless masala film with ** room for intelligence whatsoever. While the film ****** has minted money on the box ******, it’s as ob**xious as it is senseless. Given that, it’ll be interesting to see if Bhatt gives her **d to such a film, something she has managed to avoid so far.
