PESHAWAR: The Young Doctors Association and Provincial Doctors Association, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapters, on Thursday asked the provincial government to select those doctors for specialisation and training who had qualified the FCPS tests in **vember and December 2015. Addressing a press conference, Dr Amjad Qazi, Dr Aftab, Dr Aamir Saeed and Dr Saleem said the future of about 400 young doctors is at stake as they were **t selected for specialisation despite the fact that they had qualified the relevant tests and interviews. “We have passed the FCPS examinations in **vember and December 2015 but were **t included in the training for specialisation,” Dr Amjad said and added that they had waited for six months but **w the government had told them that they would **t be given training for specialisation. They asked the government to make a proper policy so that all qualified doctors and those who had passed the FCPS examination could be provided specialisation training. The young doctors also threatened to go on strike and launch a protest movement if the provincial government deprived them of specialisation or other courses. “The government will be held responsible for possible strike of doctors in government hospitals in near future,” Dr Qazi Amjad warned.
