The participants decided that Tanzeemul Madaris would collectively adopt the syllabus of the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) for matriculation and intermediate. Besides, the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training will endorse the establishment of the boards of Tanzeemul Madaris, according to the already established structure of intermediate and secondary boards. The federal cabinet will discuss it all for final approval.Until these boards are established, Tanzeemul Madaris, will continue working under the existing system in which IBCC issues certificate of equivalence to the students of madrassas. The FBISE will provide capacity building trainings to examiners, exams setters, papers’ checkers and markers of Tanzeemul Madaris according to their size. Religious education will be decided by Tanzeematul Madaris themselves. For Shahadah tul Aliya (Masters Degree) in Arabic and Islamic studies, madrassa student would have to give exams of compulsory subjects i.e. English, Islamiyat and Pakistan Studies in bachelors. For masters in other subjects, Madrassa students would have to give exams of compulsory subjects along with the two elective subjects of their choice in bachelors. For bachelor’s and master’s degrees, already recognized syllabus from HEC and concerned universities will be taught to madrassa students. The HEC academic calendar will be adjusted according to the academic calendar of Tanzeematul Madaris (May and **vember). Fee concessions, financial aid, books and tutorial workshop will be provided by Allama Iqbal Open University to those students who give exams through the AIOU. The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training will suggest to HEC **t to take the exam of Islamiyat compulsory as the students of madrassas extensively read this subject already.
