HANGU: The second phase of sending displaced families back to their native areas in Orakzai Agency would start from July 20 next week, an official said on Tuesday.
Talking to reporters here, Orakzai Agency Political Agent Muhammad Zubair Khan said that 5,000 families would return to their villages and hometowns including Alikhel, Bezot and Utmankhel in the second phase.
He said that all arrangements had been completed to facilitate the displaced families in this regard.The official said that 1,800 registered displaced families of Upper Orakzai had already returned to their villages.
He maintained that verification process of the 5,000 displaced families had been completed and they were ready to be sent back home. The political agent said that they had conducted a survey of 400 houses in Orakzai Agency owned by the returning families so far. He added that the survey would be completed before July 20. The official added that registration process of a**ther 5,000 unregistered displaced families would be carried out from July 20 to 31.
