LAHORE

Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan, Acting Ameer Liaqat Baloch has said that the failure of foreign and domestic policies of the rulers was increasing the threats to the national security.

Addressing a gathering of youths from NA 126 at an Iftar dinner on Sunday, Baloch, also a former MNA, said that the drone attack in Balochistan was an attack on the country’s independence and sovereignty. He said that peace and stability were returning to the country because of the Zarb e Azb and the national Action Plan against terrorism. He said that the consensus of the national leadership was a great success.

The JI acting chief said that enemies of Pakistan were trying hard to sabotage the China Pakistan Eco**mic Corridor project while the government was in the battle field without a foreign minister and a defense minister.

Liaqat Baloch said that the national security policy had proved a failure. He said that India and Afghanistan were carrying out subversive activities with the US support. He said that the government itself was the biggest obstacle to winning the war against terrorism.

He said that the Defae Pakistan Council would hold defense conferences in major cities, including Peshawar, Karachi, Quetta and Lahore.

He said that youths were the real asset to the country and the JI was proud of their natural capabilities. The country’s youth had earned recognition worldwide due to their talent as doctors, engineers, software and hardware engineers but the corrupt political leadership and the corrupt system were creating despair among the younger generation.

He said it was a great blessing that the country’s youth had deep love for Pakistan. He assured the youths that if they stood united, they would be wielding the reigns of powers in future. He said the youth would have to free the country from the hold of the corrupt elite.
