KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has granted permission for going abroad to JJVL co-owner Iqbal Z Ahmed till July 20.
The petitioner has adopted that a corruption case is pending against him in an accountability court and he has to go abroad to make deals with gas companies. He sought permission to go abroad, contending that upon return he will continue pursuing the cases.
The SHC also granted bail to former SSGC MD Zohair Ahmed Sidiqui and caretaker MD Shoaib Warsi in the JJVL scandal against surety bonds of Rs20 lac each. The petitioners adopted that a case against them for allegedly giving JJVL Rs17 billion illegal contracts is pending with the accountability court rejecting that they have done anything wrong. They adopted that claims of NAB are incorrect, which is why they should be granted bail.
