IGP for installation of 1,000 10-megapixel cameras

Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) A D Khowaja chaired a meeting on Thursday regarding the installation of surveillance cameras.

According a spokesman for the Sindh police, the IGP issued directives about the installation of more such cameras.

The IGP also sought a detailed report within three days for installation of one thousand 10 megapixel cameras at 200 different places in the city.

IGP Khowaja further instructed for a thorough surveillance of the city after Eidul Fitr about nature, patterns and timings of crime.

He also sought comprehensive recommendations for the installation of 7,000 cameras for seeking approval from the provincial government.
