KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Monday said that authorized branches of National Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will remain open till 8:00 PM on June 29 for payment of duty and taxes.
Further, to facilitate the government receipts and payments, the NBP branches will collect cheques till 8:00 PM and open their cash counters till 12:00 midnight, on June 30, 2016.
The NBP branches will settle their transactions on June 30, 2016 with respective SBP Banking Services Corporation (SBP-BSC) field ******s for which two special clearings will be arranged i.e. 1st and 2nd clearing immediately after 3:00PM and 10:00PM respectively.
The SBP also directed commercial Banks to keep their concerned branches open on June 30, 2016 till such time that is necessary to facilitate special clearings for government transactions.
