Junaid Khan, who is playing the protagonist in the ongoing drama ****** Dil e Beqarar these days, is going back to his melodic roots with a new album. Talking to Instep in a telephonic conversation, Khan confirmed the news that he is working on his debut solo album as well as a record with his claim-to-fame band Call. The singer-turned-actor revealed that he hopes to release the album by the end of the year.
Discussing the story behind the songs, Khan told Instep, “Every song is a story, my own reflection, my experience, I have composed them and the songs are a compilation of my experiences over the last three years.”
The untitled album is **t the only musical project that has been keeping Khan busy. “I am also working with Call (the band) but that is a different album which will encompass our collective ideas and thoughts. In addition to the two records, Khan can soon be heard on an upcoming Call song, which is currently in the making.
Other than Dil e Beqarar, Khan is presently working on a drama ****** called Marvi in which he is essaying the role of a struggling musician. Set to air in July on Geo Entertainment, the role is closer to Khan’s reality and will hopefully pave way for a better understanding of music and artists in the country.
