ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) will stage a sit-in in Lahore on June 17 to mark the anniversary of Model Town killings. PAT’s Deputy Chief Organiser Shahzad Hussain Naqvi said here that the Tehreek’s supremo Allama Dr Tahirul Qadri would lead the sit-in to recall the killings and said that the perpetrators would **t be allowed to run away.
On behalf of his party, Shahzad Naqvi expressed complete solidarity with the Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen’s hunger strike, led by its Secretary General Allama Nasir Abbas Jaffary to protest the ongoing wave of sectarian and target killings.
He alleged that the nation would **t forgive the Sharif family for illegally transferring their wealth abroad and they would be held accountable for this.
Referring to the decision between the government and the opposition parties to form a parliamentary panel with regards to probe into Panama Leaks, he said that such cosmetic developments would **t impede the struggle of the poor and less-privileged segments of the society.
