Addressing a public gathering at Azakhel Payan here on Friday, he said that people had voted the PTI to power for changing the system. “This is the reason that the government strived for reforming institutions in the first two years of its tenure,” he added. Minister for Excise and Taxation Mian Jamsheduddin Kakakhel, Member National Assembly Dr Imran Khattak, District Nazim Liaqat Khattak and elected local representatives were present on the occasion. Pervez Khattak said that developed countries had made institutions strong and stable and that was why they attained the goal of progress and prosperity. The chief minister said that reformation of the system was more important than development activities. He added that the government had put an end to interference in the affairs of the institutions to make it service-oriented. He said the government had taken steps for elimination of injustice, corruption and restoration of supremacy of law. The chief ministers said the government had faced tough time in streamlining the institutions and improving the system. Commenting on the Panama Leaks, he said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would go home before 2018 if the allegations against him and his family were proved. He said the PTI wanted fair and transparent accountability of all and sundry, adding that anyone involved in corruption should be brought to justice. Pervez Khattak said that his party supported accountability even after the allegation against PTI leaders. He believed PTI chief Imran Khan would be the next prime minister as the youth of the country loved him. Responding to a question about Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Bannu, he said that the prime minister should regularly visit the province as it is his duty to launch development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. When asked about the PTI leaders Jehangir Khan Tareen and Aleem Khan who were also named in the Panama Leaks, he said Imran Khan was asking for across-the-board accountability. “Those involved in corruption should be held responsible irrespective of their status and political affiliation. A corrupt is corrupt ** matter to which political party or class he belongs to,” he added. The chief minister said that his government had introduced a provincial accountability bill in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. He said the bill would be approved after complete deliberations in the provincial assembly. He said the passage of the bill would ensure true accountability. Flaying the oppositions parties for their criticism of the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Pervez Khattak said that the leadership of Awami National Party (ANP) could **t hold any public meetings in the party’s previous government in the province. “He fled the province in ANP-led government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He should be thankful to us that he is holding public meetings in the province **wadays,” he said while referring to ANP chief Asfandyar Wali Khan. The chief minister said the ANP and Pakistan People’s Party had started malicious campaign against PTI. He said both the parties had set new records of corruption and violation of merit in their coalition government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. “They would have sold out the province had it been in their powers,” he added. أكثر... ??????? ??????: PTI trying to make institutions stronger: KP CM || ??????: ahlam1399 || ??????: اسم منتداك
