UAE celebrates 40th Armed Forces Unification Day
He expressed the views here in reception that was arranged to commemorate 40th Armed Forces Unification Day of the UAE on Friday. Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Rashid Mahmood was the chief guest on the occasion and it was attended by large number of defence attaches and ******rs of three services from the host country. Secretary Defence Lieutenant General Alam Khan Khattack was conspicuous with his presence among the guests. Chief of the Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman also attended the reception where the chief guest performed the cake cutting ceremony after playing of national anthems of the two countries. Ambassador Eissa Abdulla Al-Basha Al-Nuaimi said that the UAE Armed Forces have reached distinct international levels and remain a symbol of strength for the nation and their pride through its achievements and solicitude of country’s wise leadership and its commitment to develop the efficiency and capabilities. “We recall on the 40th anniversary of Unification of the Armed Forces which has been on May 6, 1967, the sharp vision by founding father Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan and his brothers rulers of Emirates.” The ambassador maintained that the sacrifices in the field of ho**ur and redemption for the homeland and its pride and for the consolidation of truth, justice and strengthening the regional and global security and stability and eliminating injustice and helping the needy in peace and war faced by the our brave soldiers over those years will remain beacon for us and for future generations. He complimented the directives of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan for marking out Martyrs Day which was celebrated for the first time few months ago.
