Two PMs who resigned were **t insane, says Khursheed
ISLAMABAD: Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah on Wednesday said the prime ministers of two countries had resigned over the Panama Leaks and they were **t insane. “If there was **thing authentic in the Panama Leaks, then two prime ministers would **t have tendered their resignations,” he said while talking to media persons here after chairing a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee. Khursheed said it was **t the opposition that had levelledthe allegations against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his family. He said he had started consultation process with the opposition parties before writing a letter to Nawaz for sending the opposition’s terms of reference (ToRs) to form the Panama Leaks probe commission. “I will write a letter to the prime minister on the opposition ToRs by Thursday evening after consultation with all the opposition parties,” Khursheed said.When asked about the prime minister’s aggressive speeches against the opposition, he advised the premier to be patient. “Allegations are often levelled but instead of making aggressive speeches, the prime minister should show patience as people also did **t like the aggressive posture of the PM,” he added. The opposition leader said the opposition’s only demand was that accountability should start from the prime minister as he was the chief executive of the country. “Accountability of all who were named in the Panama Leaks with regard to offshore companies will be held either it is I, Jahangir Tareen, Aitzaz Ahsan or anyone else but it should start from the prime minister being the chief executive of the country,” he said. When asked about the name of Benazir Bhutto and Senator Rehman Malik in the Panama Leaks, Khursheed said Rehman Malik was denying that his name had appeared in the Panama Leaks. He said Rehman Malik should also be investigated if his name was included. He said Benazir Bhutto during her life fought the allegations against her in the Swiss courts, high courts and also in the Supreme Court.
