From Our Correspondent PAKPATTAN: The PAKPATTAN ADC Monday said the district administration and TMAs would arrange four Ramazan bazaars in the district. Addressing a meeting in connection with Ramazan bazaars, he said Ramazan bazaars would be established at general bus stand, Pakpattan, Bajji Chowk, TMA ****** Arifwala and Qaboola Town with fool proof security arrangements. He said a check and balance would be maintained in terms of price and quality of commodities in the bazaars. DRUG PEDDLERS HELD: Police Monday arrested drug peddlers and recovered liquor. Police arrested accused Nasir of Machi Singh with 10 litres liquor, accused Munir of Chak 22/KB with 18 litres liquir, accused Ali Sher of Chak 17/KB with 5 litres liquor, accused Tahir of Byle Ganj with 5 litres liquor, accused Muhammad Hussain of Karimpur with 360 grams charas and accused Yusuf of O-Block, Aarifwala, with 200 gram charas and accused Nasar of Zianagar, Arifwala with 30 litres liquor. Police have registered cases. VALUABLES STOLEN: Residents were deprived of valuables in different incidents on Monday. Accused Mian Khan and his accomplices entered the house of Ghulam Ahmad at Chak Lal Khan Dhaddi and stayed a night there and took away gold ornaments, cash and others valuables worth Rs 400,000 early in the morning. Four thieves stole a motorbike (PKK-7371) from the house of Talib Hussain of Chak 5/KB Three thieves stole three cellphones and other items worth Rs 31,000 from the house of Nazir Ahmad Khan of Qaboola Town. Police have registered cases. GIRL KIDNAPPED: A girl was kidnapped on Monday. Reportedly, an unidentified woman visited the house of Zaheer Abbas of Mohar Singh and took his sister on the pretext of tending her injured brother. And with the help of his accomplices she abducted the girl. Police have registered case. FIREWORKS: Police booked a man on charges of selling fireworks. Police booked accused Abdul Rehman of Chak 60-SP as he was allegedly selling fireworks. PO ESCAPES: A proclaimed offender (OP) escaped with the help of his accomplice on Monday. On a tip-off, police raided Chak 96-D to arrest PO Saleem but he was alerted by Mumtaz and escaped. Police registered a case.
