Donald Trump tweeted on Tuesday evening that he would "spill the beans" on GOP rival Ted Cruz's wife, Heidi, over an ad using photos from Melania Trump's photoshoot with GQ.
The problem? Those ads didn't come from Cruz's campaign. They were released by the anti-Trump super PAC Make America Awesome, run by Republican strategist Liz Mair.
Mair took credit for the ads in tweets on Tuesday night.
Mair also suggested that Trump's campaign has been "pushing around rumors" that Heidi Cruz — who*took a leave of absence from her executive position at Goldman Sachs to help her husband*seek the White House — was a "criminal" and mentally ill. Read more...
