For one badass Border Collie named Piper, it means patrolling the airplane runways at Cherry Capital Airport in Traverse City, Michigan.

Piper has been "working" at the airport for a little over a year. His main duty is keeping wildlife off the runway, such as ducks, geese and foxes

“Border Collies are born for this type of work, they’re herders,” Piper's owner and airport employee Brian Edwards told NBC News.
