Are Americans ready for a socialist in the White House?
At a campaign event in South Carolina earlier this week, Jeb Bush expressed his biggest concern about kids these days: They "are all into socialism."
"Millennials by 2 to 1 believe socialism is a better form of eco**mic policy than capitalism," he said, shaking his head as he lamented Bernie Sander’s rise. "Wowzer!"
Bush may have been wrong about his own presidential prospects — he has since dropped out of the race. But he is right about the shifting attitudes towards socialism which are helping Sanders, even if — polls suggests — Americans still may **t be ready to embrace a spiritual descendant of Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels and elect a self-described socialist to the highest ****** of the land.
