State govt paid informers over R1 cr for leads on Naxalites in ’15

The State government will pay Rs 1.38 crore as rewards to informers for tip-offs they have given about Naxalite leaders, their activities and whereabouts in 2015. Besides, the government will spend Rs 9 crore for helicopter surveillance of Naxalite-infested areas.
