   Every single hoverboard — AKA self-balancing scooter — sold in the U.S. is unsafe. It doesn't matter if you paid $200 or over $1,000, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said on Friday any device without UL certification (**t just the charger) "poses an unreasonable risk of fire to consumers." The current number of hoverboards with that certification is zero.
