EKF Diag**stics, a company based in Cardiff, Wales, has released its*new
DiaSpect TM
Point-of-Care Hemoglobin analyzer. The device provides nearly instant results, doesn’t require pre-calibration, and performs a self-check between every reading.
The battery within the
DiaSpect TM works for over a month of regular usage and the device can be connected via USB to recharge the built-in battery. Readings can be transferred to a paired computer via wireless Bluetooth or sent over a wire through its USB port. The*microcuvettes used to take samples have a shelf life of 2.5 years and can be stored between freezing and 50° Celsius (122° Fahrenheit).
