Medtronic has an**unced that it’s begun testing*a new surgical
Aortic heart
Valve in a global prospective clinical trial. The investigational device was implanted in the first patient at the ProMedica Toledo Hospital in Ohio.

Pericardial Valve features a low profile and leaflets mounted on the interior of the device. It’s designed to either be used as a replacement for*previously implanted prosthetic valves or for*transcatheter delivery for*valve-in-valve procedures. The
Trial will be testing the device for ease of implantation, durability, and for therapeutic performance preventing regurgitation and maintaining healthy hemodynamics.
