Deaf and hard of hearing people would probably love to listen to the cardinal’s song, in practice it is **t being able to hear the song of humans that is particularly difficult and frustrating. A new app aims to bridge the communication gap between those that can and can’t hear by simply transcribing the speech of people around.

Transcense app has few controls, basically working right “out of the box.” Once launched, it listens for voices and
Transcribes the conversation it’s hearing. The nifty thing is that it recognizes the different speakers that are participating in a conversation and colors each person’s transcribed text with a different color to make sure the person using the app understands who is saying what. The
Folks behind the app are **w looking for crowdsourced funds on*Indiegogo in order to port the tech**logy to iOS devices and make it available on computers with a web browser.
