Canada to join the US-led coalition in launching
Airstrikes on
Islamic State militants in Iraq, during a statement to the House of Commons on October 3. He said that strikes would take place ?where and only where
Canada has the clear support of the government of that country. At present this is only true in Iraq. If it were to become the case in Syria, then we will participate in air strikes against ISIL in that country also.? The proposal followed the prime minister?s branding of
