A thousand young men and women are being given the opportunity to receive
free legal
training as long as they provide 100 hours of
pro-bo** services annually to people who can**t afford lawyer fees for 10 years. Legal consultant Dr. Majed Qaroub, who is behind the initiative, said he has been working with the Human Resources Development Fund to develop the scheme. Beneficiaries of the scheme will provide in total 1 million hours of
pro-bo** services worth an estimated SR1 billion, Alsharq daily reported. Qaroub said 100 law or Shariah graduates every year will be enrolled onto the scheme, receiving 240 hours of
free training each.
