Abbey opened the
unit with her three-year-old daughter Sophia by her side as she said: “I would like a big family, I would like to extend it.”
The new
unit named the
Abbey Birth Centre is led by a team of midwives and has four en-suite rooms, with three having birthing pool facilities.
Mum-of-one
Abbey explained “being local to the area, a
midwife came to my house when I had my little baby three years ago – she’s a big baby now.”.
Abbey talked about the plush birthing
Centre which she said is “an amazing facility, it’s like being in a hotel. It’s spotlessly clean, amazing big rooms, birthing pools and the staff are all wonderful.”.
“In the rooms there’s just everything in there, TVs, iPods, birthing pools, mood lighting.”
When the 28-year-old revealed she wanted to extend her own family she said, The good thing about it is that your partner could stay overnight at such a terrifying time in your life, giving birth.”
“I will be giving the girls [at the
Birth centre] a ring to come and help me when the time happens.”
But in the meantime,
Abbey is busy working on her projects.
She said: “Excited to bring out my new Matalan collection, I’ve got a few ideas in pipeline. And a bit of TV that I can’t mention”.
