London on Thursday to
consult party president
Shahbaz Sharif on important
political issues, said party spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb.The
PML-N leaders would also meet ailing former prime minister Nawaz Sharif during their stay in the British capital. Speaking to a private TV channel, Aurangzeb said the
PML-N delegation would seek leadership’s guidance on parliamentary matters.According to party sources a meeting of the senior PML -N leadership headed by
Shahbaz would take place on Friday (today). A spokesperson for PML-N’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Ameer Muqam said he had departed from Islamabad to
London in the morning.MNAs Khawaja Asif, Rana Tanvir Hussain and Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Senator Pervez Rashid have already left for
London while party’s Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal is expected to leave today.The sources added the group would discuss the law regarding an extension in the army chief’s tenure, the appointment of Election Commissioner of Pakistan members as well as other
political matters of the country.The final decision regarding the law for extending the army chief’s tenure would be made by Nawaz Sharif, the sources said.
