The British Broadcasting Company will
Slash 500 jobs from its
News department as well as dozens from its radio division, according to a report
The cuts would represent around 6% of the entire
News force for Britain's state media outlet, a move that could escalate tensions that have already emerged between management and the union that represents BBC journalists
