A legal battle between
Apple and
Samsung over five patents has ended. According to reports,
Samsung must pay
Apple $533 million in damages for violating those patents. The intellectual property in question is related to phone technology, and other handheld devices. But most of the awarded damages involve three design patents, that protect a device
with a black front, rounded rectangular corners, and curved bezels.
Apple claimed that
Samsung violated those patents when it made the Galaxy S 4G, the Galaxy S2, and the Droid Charge.
