Best film of 2017, according to the Academy Awards.

The Shape of Water had taken home
Best Director (for Guillermo del Toro),
Best Score (for Alexandre Desplat), and
Best Production Design (for Paul D. Austerberry, Shane Vieau, and Jeffrey A. Melvin).*
The film had additionally been nominated for nine other awards, including
Best Original Screenplay,
Best Lead Actress,
Best Supporting Actress, and
Best Supporting Actor. It was the most-nominated
Picture of the 2018
Oscars race.
