FOX 6 newscasters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, struggled to identify a group of mysterious white lights floating in their broadcast's sky view Tuesday morning. Soon after, the glowing, ghostly images enthralled thousands of people on Reddit — perhaps the least surprising turn of events in modern history.

So, what were those lights? Aliens? Ghosts? Cute little sky tadpoles? None of the above, according to local reporters who drove to check it out. In fact, they were seagulls, whose outlines became clearer once daylight set in.
